Photographing your first boat
We are going to talk you through these stages when you are listing a boat for sale. take great photos will save lots of time later when you are uploading the boat to the web. We use a standard template for each photo so that customers looking at the website get consistent quality of photos and types of photos.
The Camera
Cameras, phones, tablets are so good these days, use a wide angle lens for interiors. Iphones take excellent pictures and videos, but will need to use a flash at times. NB:change your ratio setting to 4x3
Landscape or Portrait?
ALL PHOTOS taken need to be landscape ONLY. This is because our website uploading templates only take landscape. We take UNLIMITED photos which fit into these standard templates making the customer experience a clear and easy to navigate experience.
Tips
- Take all photos LANDSCAPE
- Interior photos, use a flash
- Interior photos, switch electronic gear on
- Interior photos, get the floor into the photo, NOT HEAD-LININGS
- Exterior photos in bright sunshine, use snow blindness setting
