In My Brokerage you can manage and customise your website (Your personal contact page is edited in  My Account.) Remember - this is the first impression of your business so the information must be up to date and excellent quality.
  • Create a professional contact page
  • Add Social networking links
  • Choose which boats are featured on the homepage.  If you tick the box 'dynamic boat selection' the system will automatically choose featured boats based on a criteria that consists of high value boats with plenty of media. Boats will update daily.
  • Customise your homepage
  • Choose which notifications/alerts your team need to receive
  • Add external website links
  • Arrange the order in which your brokerage team appear on the contact page
  • Add an image or a gallery
  • Create your email signature

Broker Contact Page:

You may decide to pay a professional photographer to take your photo with the result being a smart and professional photo for the website. Decent high res photos are also very useful to have for marketing, press releases and blogs.  Include some information about the location of your brokerage, a little info about yourself (there will be more details in My Account) and of course how Boatshed can help to sell your boat.

Social Networking Sites:

Add the links to your social media pages, if you don't have your own accounts you can add the links to the main Boatshed social media channels

Customising your Homepage:

Your homepage, is the online brochure for your business, first impressions count, so it's really important that your homepage emulates the types of boats you want to sell. By featuring the type of boats you'd like to sell on your homepage, boat owners who are looking to sell their boat will have the confidence to place their boats with your Boatshed brand for sale. 

Your homepage also offers premium advertising space which has added value for your boat owners and can be incorporated into the marketing for their boat. For instance because there’s only 10 slots you can use this as a tool to get price reductions, so that all boats on your homepage have a great chance in being sold because they are competitively priced. Use this advertising space carefully, do not waste opportunities, for instance there may be a listing for a Beneteau Oceanis 50 for sale in your area, you'd like to attract the listing so you place a Beneteau Oceanis 50 from another Boatshed office on your homepage as a talking point with the prospective seller.

These are good examples of effective home pages, mainly because they have a good variety of boats and prices, pitching their business in the middle of the market with high priced down to sell-able lower value boats

Grid or a Slider?

Display your boats in a grid format showing all 9 boats under the boat of the moment or a slide effect which shows 3 at a time, click the dot for the next 3 boats. 

Notifications:

There are a default selection of notifications which you are unable to edit, however you can choose extra notifications for your boats which you and your team can select when listing the boat.

Links:

You can add links to external websites, maybe marine organisations, local restaurants/hotels or businesses.
