DASHBOARD - Boat Overview - Web Views

The system records any time a customer views a boat on the website and this is useful information for the boat owner and of course you as the broker.  The boat owner can keep an eye on the number of views through My Boatshed, it will display the number but it won't display any of the customer's details.

It will display a list of all the customers who have viewed the boat with the date they first looked and the date they last looked, the number of times they have personally viewed the boat and the total number of views the boat has had.  You can use the 'toggle' switches at the top of the column to change the way the data is displayed. (the customers names have been removed from this list)

View Price Reduction for more information on how to send an email to customers when the price of a boat has been reduced.

You can drill down into each customer to see what types of boat they have been looking at:

  • Click on their name and this will take you into their account
  • Click on the activity log tab
  • This will display all the boats they have looked at on the system
  • You can see the type of boat (power/sail) and the prices, this will give you a good indication of the type of boat they are looking to buy.
  • If they are looking at lots of different types of boats with a large variation in the price then they are probably just a 'serial boat looker' and may not be really interested in buying one (check their relevancy score to your boat before sending any emails)

Past experience has shown us that if a boat has a high number of views but nobody is making any attempt to physically view the boat or make an offer then this would suggest the price is too high and it would be worth discussing a reduction with the owner.
