Boatshed Photo and Video App – Step-by-Step Guide

1. Download the App

• Get the Boatshed "Photo and Video App" from Google Play Store or IOS App Store.

2. Introduction Video

• When you first open the app, you can watch a short video explaining how it works.

3. Token Code Required

• You cannot use the app without a Token Code from the Boatshed Dashboard.

4. Get Your Token Code

• Go to Boatshed Dashboard → Manage Boats → Media → Photo App.
• If you don’t see the Photo App option, your account may need activation—contact support.
• The boat needs to be added to the dashboard first and allocated to a category (sail, power, inland) and then a sub-category (coastal cruiser etc) so the app knows what photos to ask for.

5. Insert Your Token Code

• Enter the Token Code into the app.
• Alternatively, use the QR code option for quick access.

6. Photo Sessions & Boat Areas

• Photos are grouped into sessions, covering different areas of the boat.

7. Guidance for Photos & Videos

• Each photo session includes:
  • A video tutorial on how to capture the best shots.
  • Sample photos to guide you.

8. Landscape Mode

• Always use your phone in landscape mode for photos.

9. Automatic Photo Uploads

• Photos are automatically uploaded to the media section of the Boatshed Dashboard for that boat.

10. Automatic Video Syndication

• Videos are automatically uploaded to YouTube and appear in the Dashboard video section.
