New Build Boats - Setting up a New Build Brand

Follow these instructions to set up a New Build Brand (you'll only be able to set up a new build brand if your dashboard permissions have been upgraded)

Go to the dashboard and click on Manage>Brands and Models>Add New Brand

BRAND DETAILS:

Add the New Build Brand
Add details in the short summary - This is the text that appears on the New Build Boats overview page on the website. Write up to four lines of intro text describing the brand in broad terms. This is the only time the brand name should be used.

Example text: Admiral Catamarans are perfect for short-handed sailing and provide both excellent sailing performance and a comfortable live-aboard experience.

Tick New Build Brand and click SAVE

NEW BRAND PAGE:

Select the Main Boatshed Broker (this is the main contact for Boatshed)
Add a Brand Main image
Add content onto the page - This is the text that appears on the Brand page on the website. Up to four lines of secondary intro, describing in a little bit more detail the specifics about the boat brand. (Do not use boat brand NAME.)
Click SAVE
For the boats to appear on all of our website brands you need to select the Sub Boatshed Brokers, click on the wording 'associate this manufacturer to Sub Boatshed Brokers' Tick all of the brokers that apply (exclude the white label sites) and click save at the bottom of the page.

Example text: These catamarans are designed as a bespoke open ocean blue water cruising catamarans. They are available with 2, 3 or 4 double berth cabins. The semi-custom nature of the design & build offer flexibility in layout and equipment to the owner. The yachts are in production at a purpose-designed factory in Cape Town, South Africa. With the focus on quality workmanship and attention to detail, each custom Admiral 40 catamaran is soundly built.

Add the different models available under this brand
Click SAVE

EMAILS:

You can set up email alerts to let you know which customers have viewed the boats

Enter the email addresses of the people who need to receive the email, this should be the Main Boatshed Broker and the New Build Manufacturer
Select how often you want to receive the emails; daily, weekly, monthly
Click SAVE

BRAND MEDIA:

How to add a YouTube video:

To add a YouTube video, all you need to do is find the video on YouTube and copy the full video from the URL. This is for the MEET THE BUILDER VIDEOS!

Then, paste the URL into the Media URL field, set the type to 'YouTube' and add a caption and sort order

If you have more media to add, you can press the "+" icon to add another row of fields
Once you've added all the videos, press the green 'Save' button to add all the media.

How to add a Soundcloud audio clip

To add a Soundcloud audio clip, head to Soundcloud and find the audio you want to add. Then, click the "Copy Link" button to copy the URL

Then, paste the URL into the Media URL field, set the type to 'Soundcloud' and add a caption and sort order

If you have more media to add, you can press the "+" icon to add another row of fields
Once you've added all the audio, press the green 'Save' button to add all the media.
