DASHBOARD - Adding a Sale

The boat sales process is broken down into simple stages, that guides you on to the next stage of the process. You can easily view exactly at what stage the sale is at and if you use a number of Client accounts with different currencies you can specify which account to use for each sale.

Client Account details

By default your client account will be shown as your brand name, you can edit this by following the instructions below.

  • Administration
  • Client Accounts
  • Add or Edit

Sales Stages/Process

ADDING AN OFFER:

An offer comes in from a customer, you can add these details to the sales area without the boat going under offer, keeping full offer history for the boat.

  • Search for your boat in Dashboard
  • Click on the boat
  • Go to the "Sales / Offer"
  • Click add offer
  • Enter customer details
  • Enter Offer details
  • SAVE

There are various sales descriptions which are automatically added to the sales area which alert you to each stage the sale is at, these depend upon the sales stages completed. (see in image below in Sales / Offers)

You can edit existing offers or add new offers.

  • Offer Rejected - Seller has rejected the offer, back to negotiation.
  • Offer Made, Awaiting decision - Pending offer, waiting for Sellers decision.
  • Offer Accepted, Awaiting Deposit - Seller accepts the offer subject to and waiting for 10% deposit.
  • Under Offer - Deposit has cleared in the client account.
  • SOLD

DEPOSIT & SURVEY:

  • Complete "Deposit Details" area and "Survey Details".
  • Choose a Client account.
  • Deposit cleared - Tick the ‘deposit cleared’ box once the funds have arrived in your account and the boat will now show Under Offer on your website.
  • Deposit cleared - if you are using a Boatshed Client Account, the accounts team will have received notification to expect the funds with all of the boat details. Once the funds have been received the accounts team will tick the deposit cleared box, auto sending an email notification to you confirming the deposit for X boat has cleared.
  • Only when the Deposit Cleared box is ticked can you proceed with entering sale details.
  • Boat is now under offer.

SALES:

Complete all sales details, NB: these are net of VAT.

  • Confirm the details of the sale and enter a planned completion date. This triggers a notification to accounts if you are using the Boatshed Client Account so they can plan to release funds to Seller on a specific date. NB: Contact Accounts on the day to confirm release of funds.
  • Balance cleared - if using your own Boatshed Business Account tick the ‘balance cleared’ box once the funds have arrived in your account.
  • Balance cleared - if you are using the Boatshed Client Account, the accounts team will receive notification to expect the funds with all of the boat details, once the funds have been received the accounts team will tick the balance cleared box.
  • You will receive an email notification to confirm the balance has been received, with details of the boat and the amount that has been paid
  • SAVE

FEES:

FINALISE:

The finalisation statement will give a breakdown of all the costs involved with the sale, NB net of VAT.

Click on Finalise to completed the sale.

Boat now sold

Once the sale is completed, the boat will remain for a 7 days live on the website as SOLD, then the Dashboard will automatically remove the listing from the website.
