Covid-19 Owner Updates

It is important to keep your owners up to date with the work you are carrying out as a broker during the restrictions we have in place with regards to accessing boats.

You should already be sending your owners a monthly update from the Dashboard, (details on how to send this can be found HERE) so now would be the time to add some specific wording into your update.

Here are two examples of wording you could use:

Example One:

As we are all aware the world is facing an uncertain time at the moment with the outbreak of COVID-19 but we want to assure you that Boatshed is still working to assist buyers & vendors alike with their requirements.
We are working hard to find solutions to individual requirements and still managing to sell a number of boats. Confinement has also meant an increase in website traffic and we anticipate a very busy time when restrictions are lifted.
With that in mind, now is a great time to check out your boats page on our website and check that it is up to date. Have you fitted new equipment or repainted since we took our photographs? If so, you need to let us know and send us bills and photos too. Every person who is “watching” your boat receives an update every time the page is modified so your boat will once again be brought to their attention.
With the possibility of a buying spree following the lifting of the restrictions this is a great way to “get ahead of the pack”. Updating your webpage, authorising a price reduction or entering into the next Boatbid auction (www.boatbid.com) all result in further advertising campaigns and increased visibility. If you would like to discuss any or all of the above or just want a chat about the market in general do give us a call.
For now, please see the below statistics concerning your boat

Example Two:

We are now approaching the end of week two of the COVID-19 lock down and I would like to bring you up to date with what we have been doing at Boatshed XXXXX, and the whole of the Boatshed organisation where we have been pooling all our resources (70 offices) in order to continue marketing the boats we have for sale , new boats coming on stream , and ongoing enquiries.
Access to boats will vary according to their location, and we will be looking at each boat individually. There have been a number of video viewings within the organisation, observing the distancing guide lines.
Fortunately, because we take so many pictures, videos, and 360 VR photos and more in reserve we are able to show as much detail as possible and manage ongoing enquiries.
We have also seen an upturn in web viewings, which obviously is a result of more people being at home.
There are several other initiatives which are being explored which I will advise in due course, please rest assured that when things start to return to normal, we will hit the ground running.
WHAT CAN YOU DO!
As you are aware we are in constant touch with prospective buyers as we are able to see who is looking at the boats , so please if you have any additional information regarding the boat , such as any improvements carried out recently , preparation for the coming season i.e. antifouling , new anodes , seacocks etc.., please let us know. We will put all this information on to the web page and email all those who have shown interest.
Below are the latest stats for your boat.
