WEBSITE - Referring a Boat (Boatshed Refer a Boat)

If anyone wants to refer a boat they just need to be registered with Boatshed to be able to do so.  If someone refers a boat they will receive a 20% share of the brokers commission once the boat is sold.

Each person registered with Boatshed will automatically have their own Unique Referral Link which they can add onto their website, blog or as part of a chat message, or email. When anyone clicks on that link, our system records the boat being referred by the referrer.  The link can be found in My Referrals in My Boatshed:

The referrer will be kept up to date (via email) with the status of the boat they have referred as they will receive the following emails:

  • When the Unique Referral Link has been used
  • When the broker has accepted the listing enquiry
  • When the boat has been listed
  • When the boat is sold
  • The boat owner will receive an email when they have used the Unique Referral Link letting them know the broker will be in touch
  • If the boat is out of area then the referrer will receive an email saying we are unable to list the boat

The referrer can also log onto 'My Boatshed' and check the status of their referrals by clicking on the 'My Referrals' tab which will show an activity log with the status of each referral:

It will show the following Enquiry Status:

  • ENQUIRY RECEIVED - the referral has been received by Boatshed
  • ENQUIRY OPEN - the broker has accepted the referral and is in touch with the owner
  • LISTED - the boat has been listed for sale on the website
  • SOLD - the boat has now been sold
  • UNABLE TO LIST - the broker either declined the referral or was unable to list for a reason

Terms and Conditions apply which can be viewed HERE
