DASHBOARD - Email templates

The email templates are used in the dashboard when replying to customers in the notifications centre or they are automatic emails sent from the dashboard.  You can use the standard Boatshed email templates but we would recommend you personalise the templates to suit your brokerage.

There are a number of email templates used within the dashboard and these can be found in Dashboard>Information>Email Templates (not all Boatshed users have access to this area). If you would like to personalise the templates then click on the duplicate button on the right hand side and it will create a new template under your brand. Please note these templates are per brokerage and not per broker/agent so if you have a number of agents working for you then everyone will use the same templates.


Helpful Tips:

  • You do not need to add your email signature to the template as the system already does this for you
  • Remember this email will be used by all agents within your brokerage
  • Use the emails to encourage customers to contact you
  • You can add different languages to your templates

The following templates are available:
  • Book Viewing Request: When a customer contacts you about a viewing
  • Monthly Owner update: Give your Owners a monthly update including stats on customer activity.
  • Welcome aboard email: When a new customer registers on your website, they are sent this automatic reply.
  • Create Alert: When a customer uses the create alert feature
  • Price Reduction Email: When you reduce the price of a boat, you can contact profiled customers using this template.
  • CCR Response: Customer contact request (CCR) A customer requests online that a broker contacts him about a specific boat.
  • CCR - Inform owner: When a customer contacts you, you can notify your Owner so they are aware of the interest on their boat.
  • Offer Response: A customer makes an offer via the website.
  • Offer - Inform owner: Let your Owner know of the recent Offer.
  • View Alert Response: When you set your notification alerts, you will receive notifications and/or emails with customers who have been looking at a particular boat an number of times.
  • View Alert - Inform owner: To keep your Owners updated you can notify your Owners when specific customers have looked at their boats online several times.
  • Print Alert Response: You will receive an notification when a customer prints one of your boat details from your website.
  • Print Alert - Inform owner: To keep your Owners updated you can notify your Owners when specific customers are watching their boats.
  • Watch Boat Email: You will receive an notification when a customer places a boat in his watch list on your website.
  • Watch - Inform owner: To keep your Owners updated you can notify your Owners when specific customers are watching their boats.
  •  IPA Response: When the customer downloads a copy of the IPA
  • IPA Alert - Inform Owner: The owner of the boat receives an email to say someone has viewed the IPA
